Abstract:
To provide a prism assembly which has a short optical path and is free from a risk of interfering with light and require no expenses.
The improved prism assembly for use in optical devices comprises a total internal reflection (TIR) assembly (1), a color prism assembly (7), and at least one reflection light valve. The total internal reflection assembly (1) shows a backside (13), and the color prism assembly (7) shows a surface (14) which faces the backside (13) and is parallel therewith. The backside (13) forms an angle other than 90° with a universal flat surface defined by incoming and outgoing light beams (A and E).
