Abstract:
Preparation of an ammonium nitrile compound (I) comprises reacting a tertiary amine compound (II) with chloroacetonitrile in an organic solvent, and subsequently adding an acid compound (III). Preparation of an ammonium nitrile compound (I) of formula (R 1>)(R 2>)N +>(R 3>)(CH 2-CN) Z ->comprises reacting a tertiary amine compound (II) of formula NR 1>R 2>R 3>with chloroacetonitrile in an organic solvent, and subsequently adding an acid compound (III) of formula (HZ). R 1>1-24C-alkyl, 2-24C-alkenyl, 1-24C-alkyl ether, CH 2CN or an ammonium nitrile compound of formula (NC-CH 2)(R 2>)N +>(R 3>)-((CH 2) n)Z ->; R 2>, R 3>1-8C-alkyl or 1-4C-hydroxy alkyl; n : 1-4; Z ->counter ion of formula PF 6->, ClO 4->, NO 3->, a perfluorinated alkane sulfonate or perfluorinated alkane carboxylate; R : a group, which is optionally substituted by 4-20C alkyl, 4-20C alkylether, 4-20C alkylene or 6-20C-(alkyl)phenyl; and R 1>1>1-3C-alkyl.
