To provide a stent having at least one of the following attributes, easy insertion and implantation, a strong retaining function, and an increase in comfort for patients.
The stent 10 is equipped with a tubular member 20 including a reinforcement structure 30 at least a part of the stent. The tubular member 20 includes a wall 29, and a lumen 26 extending in the axial direction in the inside with a lumen surface 27. The reinforcement structure 30 extends adjacently to the distal end part at least one part of a main body 22. One advantage of the embodiment is, for example, that the reinforcement structure 30 increases a patient comfort by providing an enhancement in flexibility. A second advantage of the embodiment is, for example, that the reinforcement structure 30 improves axial stiffness and radial stiffness to enable a thinner wall thickness of the tubular member 20 and a larger diameter of the lumen 26.
