PURPOSE: To stretch the shaft material with a good yield by stretching it, while restraining a rotation of the shaft material coming out of a pair of oblique rollers which rotate and revolve by a stretching roller pair group.
CONSTITUTION: The shaft material 1 is refined by a refining device 2. It is fed out by an extracting device 3. It is inserted and pressed by a pair of rollers 6 of a forming device 5 and put in order to the surface whose circular cross section is smooth. It is pushed continuously by applying a stress of 0.05-0.4 fold of a yield stress of an unworked shaft material conversion until the front end of the shaft material 1 passes through a working area 9 of a pair of oblique rollers 8 which rotate and revolve in its periphery by restraining a rotation of the shaft material 1 by the pair of rollers 6. Subsequently, it is stretched, while restraining the rotation of the shaft material 1 coming out of the pair of oblique rollers 8 which rotate and revolve. In such a way, an end part shape of a difficult workability shaft material such as a porous shaft material and a composite shaft material can be improved.
