Title:
IMPROVEMENT OF HYSTERESIS THERMOTHERAPY DEFINING TARGET AS TISSUE THERAPY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3677399
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating an affected tissue by clinically heating the selected part of a specific organ, either locally or generally.
SOLUTION: This method includes a step for selecting at least a magnetic substance with a magnetic heating efficiency of at least about 4.5×10-8 J.m./A.g. when a rotating magnetic field requirement is about 5×108 A/S or less, a step for transmitting the magnetic substance into an affected tissue, and a step for producing hysteresis heat within the affected tissue by exposing the magnetic substance to a rotating magnetic field with a field strength selected so that a frequency is about 10 kHz or higher and so that the product of the field strength, the frequency, and the area exposed is less than about 7.5×107 A/S.
