To provide an inspection method for solving the friction problem of the mask on a honeycomb and the problem of recognition of the light signal picked up by an automated detection means, and to provide an inspection instrument therefor.
This method for inspecting the adhesion of a honeycomb core and a skin includes operation for using a light source (15) for illuminating a region (17) to be illuminated on a free surface (4) of the honeycomb (1), operation for automatically detecting the emitted light (21) from the cell (5) of the region (22) to be observed on the free surface (4) of the honeycomb and operation for automatically detecting the opening part (6) of the cell (5) of the region (32) to be photographed of the free surface (4) of the honeycomb. The inspection instrument for inspecting the adhesion of the honeycomb core and the skin is especially designed, in order to carry out the inspection method.
