Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: Dione compounds of formula I [R1-R4 are unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon residue, cycloalkyl, Ar, (A1)nX (Ar is 5-6 membered heteroaryl; n is 0 or 1; X is H, NO2, halogen, CN, benzyl, etc.; A1 is methylene or ethylene); A2 is bond, O, S, CO, etc.; A3-A4 are each C=C(ORa) or C(X1)-C(O) (Ra is H or salt forming part, ORa is ester part, etc.; X1 is F or Cl); Y is pghenyl, heteroaromatic group].
EXAMPLE: 2-(1-Methyl-4-nitro-5-pyrazolylcarbonyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione.
USE: Herbicide.
PROCESS: A compound of formula II is reacted with a compound of a formula Y-CO-Hal (Hal is halogen), and a compound of formula IV is obtained by the rearrangement of a resultant compound of formula III.
