Abstract:
To improve low-temperature properties of fuel oils from petroleum sources, those from vegetable or animal sources, and mixtures of these fuel oils.
There is provided a sulfur-free polymer which comprises structural units of formula (1) and structural units of formula (II): wherein R1 represents 8-22C alkyl, preferably 12-16C alkyl; R2 is H or methyl; R3 represents -R5(OR6)nOR7, wherein R5 and R6 may be the same or different and independently represent linear or branched 1-8C alkylene, n is an integer of 1-20, and R7 represents 1-4C alkyl; and R4 is H or methyl, and wherein the molar ratio of structural units (1): structural units (II) in the polymer is in the range from 100:1 to 2:1.
