Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an improved assembly in which a counter rotating packerhead and a vibrator are combined.
CONSTITUTION: A counter rotating packerhead 40 comprising a counter rotating roller assembly, a longbottom assembly, or a combination of the assemblies is disposed directly over annular pneumatic vibrators 40, 65. Since a coaxial drive shaft 48 for a counter rotating packerhead passes through the vibrator 65, a power transmission means can be installed below and isolated from the vibrator 65. Since the vibrator 65 is disposed underneath and adjacent to the counter rotating packerhead pipes are produced at higher speed.
