Abstract:
To obtain sheet glass particularly having excellent flatness with high productivity.
The surface on the glass ribbon GL side of a supporting body 12 in forming the glass ribbon GL to sheet glass while sliding the glass ribbon GL and a supporting body 12 via a thin layer 18 of a vapor film is provided with grooves 12B or holes having an area of 1 to 500 cm2 per 1,000 cm2 of the surface.
