To provide a seat for a passenger vehicle, which can be selectively operated in a fully reclined position in order to allow a back-rest, a seat-pan and a leg-rest to form an approximately flat surface for lie-down.
A leg rest comprises a floor-engaging trundling member 90, a leg-supporting member pivoted relative to the trundling member 90, selectively operable actuating means reacting against a seat-pan 24 for moving the leg- supporting member to any desired position between stowed and deployed positions independently of movement of the seat-pan 24 and lost-motion means lying between the actuating means and the seat-pan 24 to allow the leg-rest to be moved to the deployed position when the seat is reclined independently of the actuating means.
