Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a product which is low-priced and has a large bore diameter by diffusing Sn, Zn or Al on the rear of a sliding surface of a sliding bearing alloy such as lead-copper, lead bronze or the like to reinforce the bearing alloy. CONSTITUTION:A bearing metal such as lead-copper, lead bronze or phosphor bronze is machined, and ceramic coating is applied to the sliding bearing surface and the end surface. Subsequently, Sn is diffused by salt bath method in which SnCl2 is the principal component, and the bearing metal is immersed in fused Zn. After that, Zn is diffused by galvannealing method, and Al is diffused in powder of Fe-Al alloy and NH4Cl by calorizing method. Thus, a strong alloy layer of Sn, Zn and Al can be formed on the rear of a bearing, so that the manufacturing cost is low, and a product with a large bore diameter can be manufactured.
