To prepare an in-blood vitamin-increasing agent not causing side effect, capable of propagating Lactobacillus bifidus, capable of lowering the values of serum potassium and serum phosphorus, capable of settling hyperlipemia and helpful for patients with renal failure or the like by including dietary microfilaments (and oligosaccharides).
This in-blood vitamin-increasing agent includes (A) dietary microfilaments such as purified, finely divided cellulose including ≥95 wt.% α-cellulose, having 5-50 μm maximum particle diameter, and substantially not including electrolytes, (e.g. K, Na, Mg, P or the like) and caloric ingredients such as digestible carbohydrates, or (B) the ingredient A and oligosaccharides such as fructo-oligosaccharide. The weight contents of the ingredient A and the oligosaccharides preferably are respectively 5-100 wt.% and 0-60 wt.%. both based on the weight of the agent. The agent is preferably administered before and after every meal in a quantity of 0.5-6.0 g/meal in terms of the ingredient A.
