Abstract:
To provide a cylinder interior dehumidification system for an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing generation of condensation water in a cylinder and inflow of condensation water into the cylinder during stop of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An intake air outlet 34A side in a branch 35A of an intake manifold is closed by a water adsorption/discharge member 40A. Passage of intake air KA through the water adsorption/discharge member 40A causes moisture WA to be adsorbed to the water adsorption/discharge member 40A. As a result, the moisture is removed from intake air KB after the passage. After an internal combustion engine is stopped, since the intake manifold is naturally cooled, condensation water WB1 and condensation water WB2 are generated on a wall surface of the branch 35A and prompted to enter into a cylinder along the wall surface of the branch 35A due to their own weights. The water adsorption/discharge member 40A can also adsorb and capture such condensation water WB1 and condensation water WB2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
