Abstract:

To provide an electromagnetic fuel injection valve for use in an in- cylinder injection gasoline engine which can realize solid flat-like spray to enlarge a combustion stable range at the time of stratified combustion by opening the peripheral wall of a fuel jet orifice directing from an outlet end toward a valve seat to the whole length of the axial length by an arbitrary length.

In an electromagnetic fuel injection valve 1, according to an ON-OFF control signal of duty obtained by operation in a control unit, the seat part is opened and closed to execute the injection of fuel. A magnetic circuit includes a bottomed cylindrical yoke 3, a core 2 formed by a plug part 2a for closing the open end and a column-like part 2b extended to the central part of the yoke 3, and a plunger 4 confronting with the core 2 through a void in addition to an electromagnetic coil 14 and a coil assembly 15. A granular powder jet injected from the open part is partially quickened more than at an outlet end of a fuel jet orifice, and the spray form is made solid and flat by the induction of peripheral spray by a jet so as to reduce unburnt gas discharge and improve fuel cost.
