Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the opening areal velocity of a port for raising the spill velocity of fuel without any dimensional or forced restriction.
CONSTITUTION: A control sleeve rotatably fitted to a plunger barrel, and a guide 24 for coupling and holding a plunger 20 in such state as constrained in a rotating direction are inclined along a direction opposite to a lead 21 on the plunger 20, thereby causing a port to travel relative to the lead 21 in a direction orthogonal therewith. The opening areal velocity of the port is thereby increased for raising the spill velocity of fuel via the release of the port.
