To prevent occurrence of meandering of a belt like material in high speed passing or passing in a high viscosity fluid and to improve productivity by arranging a straightening plate near an inlet side surface of a passing roll in a cleaning fluid bath and preventing a liquid flow due to roll rotation from flowing into a contact point between a roll and a belt like material.
Straightening plates 3a, 3b, 3c are arranged at an inlet side of a passing roll 2 of a belt like material 1. By these straightening plates 3a, 3b, 3c, flow directions of a liquid flow accompanied to a contact face with the roll 2 of the belt like material 1 and a liquid flow accompanied to the roll 2 are changed so as to prevent a flow into a wedge shape region formed with the belt like material 1 and the roll 2 and to divert outside. Further, a fluid flow accompanied to an opposite face side of the roll of the belt like material 1 is diverted by the straightening plate 3c to push the belt like material 1 to the roll 2. By both actions, the belt like material 1 is prevented from meandering in-liquid passing.
