To provide an in-mold decorative molding method simplifying a processing step and stabilizing the mass of a molded article, and to provide the molded article.
The in-mold decorative molding method includes steps of providing a decorative film; transferring the decorative film between a female die and a male die of an in-mold decorative molding die by a film transfer apparatus, and sucking the decorative film to an internal wall of a cavity of the female die (S104); carrying out first closing of the die so that the die divided surfaces of the female-male dies do not contact each other (S106); injecting a molding resin into a cavity of the female die; carrying out second closing of the female-male dies to bring the die divided surfaces of the male-female dies into contact with each other, and cutting the decorative film and detaching the cut decorative film from the decorative film on the film transfer apparatus; stopping the injection of the molding resin; and opening the die to take out the molded article with the decorative film stuck thereto. The molded article by the in-mold decorative molding method is also provided.
