To provide an in-mold label film and an in-mold labelling method.
An oriented in-mold polymer label film comprises a liner-less self-curling film layer hot-drawn and annealed, a surface layer for printing, and a bottom layer containing a heat active adhesive. A heat shrinkage factor of the film is balanced in a thickness direction so as to minimize curl for printing by using a conventional label printing press. An antistatic agent can only be added to a filler for the bottom layer containing the heat active adhesive. In manufacture of blow molded containers having labels, a sheet and a film formed of this film can be handled at high speed while retaining precise positioning and dimensions and normal position stability without any reinforcing backing material, and the labels function sufficiently on deformable containers such as shampoo bottles.
