Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transmission efficiency on a transmission line interconnecting packet exchanges by reducing number of identifies to in-network packets.
SOLUTION: Packet exchanges 1, 2 are respectively provided with terminal container processors 10, 20. The processors 10, 20 respectively have call control buffer management functions 100, 200 that conduct hunt/free of a call control buffer in the packet exchanges on the occurrence/disappearance of calls, assign a unique buffer number to the call control buffer and conduct 1 to 1 management for each call and packet transmission reception control functions 101, 201 that add a buffer number to a packet received from packet terminals 3, 4 and sends the resulting packet to a destination packet exchange as an in- network packet.
