PURPOSE: To achieve automation of process, improvement of process accuracy, and intelligent system by measuring the final size of a material to be processed by a gage after a fixed size signal is output, and by correcting the fixed size of in-process measurement based on the result.

CONSTITUTION: A process size is measured real time at the same time as processing by using a gage 103, and process operation of a process machine is so controlled to be stopped by outputting a fixed size signal which is a predetermined signal to a controller 105 of a process machine when the process size reaches the fixed size which is a predetermined size. At the time, after the fixed size signal for stopping the process operation of the process machine by in-process gage measurement is output, the final size of a material to be processed is measured by the gage 103, and the fixed size of in-process measurement is corrected based on the result.
