To provide a method, a system and a device of mixing a fluid, passing through one or more two orifices, with other fluids when the other fluids flow in a microchannel.
The present invention provides a method of conducting a reaction within a microchannel device. The method includes a process for flowing a first reactant into the microchannel. The microchannel is defined by a microchannel wall or microchannel walls and at least one orifice is present in the microchannel wall or microchannel walls. A first section of the microchannel is defined by a first hydraulic diameter and a second section of the microchannel is defined by a second hydraulic diameter that is larger than that of the first section. The first section is disposed upstream of the second section. The at least one orifice is disposed upstream of the second section. The method includes a process for flowing a second reactant through the at least one orifice and into the microchannel.
