PURPOSE: To efficiently and completely repair a damaged region of a solvent dewaxing filter by washing this damaged region with an oil-wax solvent and drying the filter, then applying an epoxy adhesive to the damaged region and further curing the coating.
CONSTITUTION: The damaged region of the solvent dewaxing filter damaged by use is sufficiently washed with the oil-wax solvent and the wax and the oil are removed from this damaged region. The washed damaged region is then subjected to the removal of the already used oil-wax solvent by using a rinsing solvent and thereafter this rinsing solvent is removed from the damaged region by executing a drying or evaporating treatment. Further, the epoxy adhesive is applied to the damaged region to sufficiently wet the damaged region, following which the epoxy adhesive is cured to completely repair the damaged region. The application of the epoxy adhesive is adequately executed in multiple layers to the damaged region.
