Title:
IN-SITU RESTORATION OF CONTAMINATED SOIL AND GROUNDWATER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0623340
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent heavy metal contaminants from exuding with groundwater and from remobilizing by removing and stabilizing the water soluble heavy metal contaminants in soil layers.

CONSTITUTION: This in-situ substantially removing method of contaminants from soil and groundwater comprises the steps of introducing into soil an aqueous remediation solution including remediation ions and natural ions present in the soil, selectively solubilizing and mobilizing the contaminants into the solution while substantially suppressing the displacement of the natural ions and then recovering the remediation solution from the soil.
