Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookrest on a steering wheel, a bookrest that is fixed on a steering wheel to enable reading easily without using a hand for in-vehicle reading.SOLUTION: A notched window 2 is provided in the upper suitable part of a body 1 that is formed like a reed screen. This notched window 2 is fitted to the upper part of a steering wheel 5 to fix the body 1. In the lower part of the body 1, a shelf board 3 for placing a book 8 is fastened. Also, in a suitable position of the body 1, a page stopper 6 or a separate page stopper 6a are installed. Consequently, a book 8 can be read easily without using a hand. In addition, as the bookrest can be miniaturized by rolling and folding after reading, it can be housed in a glove compartment in a vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
