Abstract:
To provide an in-vehicle device capable of providing a portable terminal with a map favorable for a fellow passenger mainly.
A simple map storage part 5 stores simple map data 2 generated by deleting a part of data from original map data 1 used for a route guidance. An image generation part 6 generates map image data based on the simple map data 2 stored by the simple map storage part 5. Then, the map image data generated by the image generation part 6 is transmitted to a portable terminal 4 in response to a request from the portable terminal 4.
