Abstract:
To provide an in-vehicle device which can suppress transmission of duplicate data while reducing calculation load between vehicles.SOLUTION: A server 12 transmits a parent vehicle setting instruction, a data identifier to be collected, and a list of IP addresses of child vehicles to a vehicle 14 set as a parent vehicle, and transmits a child vehicle setting instruction, a data identifier to be collected, and an IP address of the parent vehicle to vehicles 14 set as child vehicles. The child vehicle detects data and transmits data identifier thereof to the parent vehicle and issues a request to determine whether to transmit the data to the server 12, and transmits the data to the server 12 in accordance with a result of the determination. When receiving an IP address of the child vehicle and receiving the request to determine whether to transmit data to the server 12 from the child vehicle, the parent vehicle determines whether to transmit the data to the server 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
