Abstract:
To safely support traveling of a vehicle by captured images of imaging sections.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle failure detection device includes: cameras 50 mounted on a vehicle 10 so as to image an outside of the vehicle; a detection section 81 for detecting a movement direction of a subject in imaging ranges of the cameras 50 on the basis of first captured images captured by the cameras 50 and second captured images captured by the cameras 50 after the first captured images; a traveling direction determination section 82 for determining a traveling direction of the vehicle 10 on the basis of vehicle information acquired from the vehicle 10; and a failure determination section 83 for determining a failure in the cameras 50 by determining whether the movement direction of the subject in the imaging ranges to be imaged by the cameras 50 coincides with a movement direction of imaging ranges detected by the detection section 81 when the vehicle 10 is traveling in a traveling direction determined by the traveling direction determination section 82.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
