Title:
IN-VEHICLE IMAGING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016049260
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle imaging apparatus capable of performing optimum automatic exposure control according to traveling conditions of the vehicle.SOLUTION: The in-vehicle imaging apparatus acquires a face image of an occupant with a camera set in a vehicle interior, detects positions of the pupils of the face image and a position of corneal reflex light, and calculates a visual axis direction from the pupils and the corneal reflex light. The in-vehicle imaging apparatus preliminarily determines conditions for automatic exposure control and controls an exposure time (a shutter time) of the camera and the like according to the exposure conditions. In a fine daytime traveling section (i), the in-vehicle imaging apparatus shortens a reference time of image luminance for the automatic exposure control and automatically follows variations in the interior luminance. In a cloudy travelling section (ii) and a night traveling section (iii), the in-vehicle imaging apparatus elongates the reference time of the image luminance for the automatic exposure control and prevents the automatic exposure from reacting to light L5 of a headlight of an oncoming vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
