Abstract:

To select the optimum communication apparatus from a plurality of communication apparatuses in accordance with a vehicle traveling route and the present location in an in-vehicle information terminal device having the plurality of communication apparatuses.

The in-vehicle information terminal device 10 comprises the plurality of communication apparatuses 11, 12 and a position detecting part 16 for detecting the present location of the vehicle. Further the in-vehicle information terminal device has a communication area storing part 18 storing a communication available/unavailable area on each communication apparatus as the communication area information, and an operating part 13 for selecting the communication apparatus in accordance with the present location of the vehicle and the communication area information.
