Abstract:
To provide an in-wheel motor that can reduce a wheel diameter and appreciable relieves a shock transmitted to a main motor.
The in-wheel motor for use in rolling stock has the main motor arranged in a rotation center part of an iron wheel. An outer circumference of a main motor case is wrapped with an elastic body of a synthetic resin in the form of a rubber plate or the like, an annular air spring, or a viscoelastic gel, and a steel tire is fitted on an outer side of the elastic body. This provides a means for preventing direct transmission of a vibration that the steel tire receives from a rail, to the main motor.
