To provide an in-wheel motor for a vehicle for improving heat radiation efficiency of a heat pipe.
The in-wheel motor for the vehicle comprises a wheel 6 which is rotatably disposed in a wheel house formed by a vehicle body and has a tire 7 to be fixed, an electric motor 12 disposed in the cylindrical portion 8 in the wheel 6 and connected to the wheel 6 so as to transmit a power, a casing 11 which is disposed in the wheel house and stores the electric motor 12, and a heat pipe 39 which cools heat generation parts 12, 25, 26, 27, 20 by radiating the heat of the heat generation parts 12, 25, 26, 27, 20 in the casing 11 to the outside of the casing 11. The in-wheel motor for the vehicle is provided with a flow passage 37 for a cooling liquid, to which the heat of the heat generation parts 25, 26, 27, 30 is transmitted and which comes in contact with the heat pipe 39 so as to transmit the heat.
