Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress irreversible denaturation by heat to the minimum and to inactivate a virus without damaging effectiveness of the objective protein by salting out a water-soluble protein extracted from animal tissue and heat- treating formed precipitate.

CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble protein extracted from animal tissue, such as water-soluble protein derived from human or bovine placenta, having fibroblast multiplying action, for example, is suspended in 60% saturated solution of sodium sulfate, or a precipitate thereof is partially collected and heat-treated to inactivate a virus.
