Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent transmission/reception characteristic even when transmission/reception frequencies are largely separated from each other when a whip antenna is telescoped and to obtain an excellent transmission characteristic when the whip antenna is retracted by naving the whip antenna functions as a monopole antenna when the antenna is pulled out and functions as a linear inverted-F antenna exclusive for the transmission frequency when retracted.
CONSTITUTION: When a whip antenna 13 is pulled out a transmitter 16 and a receiver 17 are connected via a shared coupler 17 and when the antenna is retracted, the transmitter 16 only is connected to the antenna 13 through the switching of a switch. That is, when the whip antenna 13 is pulled out the whip antenna functions as a monopole antenna having an excellent matching performance between the antenna 13 and a feeding system in a broad band and when the antenna is retracted, the antenna 13 functions as a linear inverted- F antenna and the matching the feeding system is improved, then the excellent transmission characteristic is obtained.
