Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform smooth loading and unloading of cars on and from upper and lower decks, by installing slanted passages, through which the upper deck is communicated with the lower deck, at the front and the rear of a ship hull.

CONSTITUTION: Cars can be loaded on an upper deck 1 as well as a lower deck 4 of a car ferry. For this purpose, slanted passages 3 and 3', through which the two decks 1 and 4 are intercommunicated, are disposed at the front and the rear of the car ferry. This enables cars to be smoothly loaded and unloaded on and from the upper and lower decks at both the bow part and the stern part.
