To provide an incense coil which eliminates a fear of dying of fire caused by contact between adjacent portions of the coil due to hanging of the coil in a high-humidity environment and due to hanging failure in a low-temperature low-humidity environment, and to provide a hanging fixture which enables the incense coil to stably hang from a hanger, brings about safe and spontaneous dying of fire at an innermost portion of the incense, is small in size, and easy to handle.
The incense coil having a circular cross section is formed such that a radial interval between the adjacent portions of the coil when laid horizontally standstill is larger than a cross-sectional width and smaller than three times the cross-sectional width. The hanging fixture for hanging the incense coil from the hanger is formed of a body consisting of a column portion and a collar portion, and a hanging means arranged at the center of an upper surface of the column portion. Then the innermost portion of the incense coil is laid on the collar portion so as to enclose the column portion, and then hung from the hanger. Herein the innermost portion of the incense coil laid on the collar portion is larger than 0.5 times a winding of the coil and smaller than 1.5 times the winding, as viewed from the center of the column portion.
