To provide a low cost and highly safe incense stick ignitor capable of igniting an incense stick by pressing the incense stick against a heating wire to form a closed circuit so as to heat the heating wire.

The inside of a hollow case 1 is divided into a heating wire storage chamber 7 and a battery storage chamber 4 through a battery fixing plate 3 having a battery positive pole insert hole 11 at the center part thereof. The heating wire 17 and a heating wire mounting plate 14 having a first terminal 19 and a second terminal 22 for feeding a power to the heating wire 17 are installed in the heating wire storage chamber 7 apart from the battery fixing plate 3. By the pressing force of the incense stick 23 pressed against the heating wire 17, the first terminal 19 is electrically connected to a battery positive pole projected to the heating wire storage chamber 7 side and the second terminal 22 is electrically connected to a battery negative pole so as to heat the heating wire 17.
