Abstract:

To provide an incinerator wherein no unburned substance is left behind upon any substance to be combusted being combusted, and there is not produced various harmful substances such as bad odor, soot, dioxins.

An incinerator 11 is adapted such that there are provided at least a primary combustion chamber 12, a secondary combustion chamber 13 with which the primary combustion chamber 12 is communicated, and an exhaust port 14 with which the secondary combustion chamber 13 is communicated. The primary combustion chamber 12 and the secondary combustion chamber 13 are surrounded by a refractory member 16 and include at least a pair of electrodes 17, 17, 23, 23 respectively and are filled with predetermined heaters 18, 24, and with the exhaust port 14 or the primary combustion chamber 12 exhaust means 15, 32 for exhausting air in the combustion chamber are communicated. Electric power is supplied to the electrodes 17, 17, 23, 23 in the combustion chamber to activate the heaters 18, 24, whereby combustion temperature can be kept at about 1700 to 3000°C and incineration is performed in a low oxygen state, any unburned components of the substance to be incinerated is prevented from being left behind, and further various harmful components such as dioxin are produced.
