Abstract:
To provide an incinerator which has excellent corrosion resistance and to provide an incineration method for a fluorine compound using the incinerator.
An incinerator to incinerate a fluorine compound uses a heat resistance material, which contains a zirconium compound of 50% by weight or more, for at least a portion of an inner wall surface and thereby having extremely high corrosion resistance against the fluorine compound. In an incineration method for the incinerator to incinerate the fluorine compound, the zirconium compound is ZrO2 and a fluorine content of the fluorine compound is 30% by weight or more.
