PURPOSE: To provide an incinerator equipped with a mechanism capable of removing moisture efficiently while promoting the combustion of unburnt gas generated upon drying waste.

CONSTITUTION: An incinerator is constituted of a combustion chamber 1, equipped with an incinerating and treating belt 5 for incinerating waste while transporting it, and a combustion air supplying mechanism 8, supplying combustion air from the lower part of the incinerating and treating belt 5, and a hopper 3, equipped with a waste charging mechanism 2, charging the waste on the incinerating and treating belt 5 of the combustion chamber. An air supplying mechanism 7, supplying drying air to the waste charged through the hopper 3, is provided and a lid body 6 is provided on the hopper 3 so that the drying air is supplied into the combustion chamber 1.
