Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an incinerator to endure an incinerating treatment for a long time by providing a cover plate for opening and closing an opening in a hood with which the opening of a combustion chamber is covered and providing a passage for circulating cooling water in the cover plate. SOLUTION: The upper end opening of a combustion chamber 10 is covered with a hood 12 made of metal such as iron. A hood receiving frame 22 is provided so as to surround the edge part of the opening of the combustion chamber 10. A hood part 24 is rotatably supported on one end of the hood receiving frame 22. The hood part 24 comprises a flat cover plate 24a and a right wall body 24b suspended integrally from one end of the cover plate 24a and is formed substantially in an L shape. The cover plate 24a has an end part opposite to the side from which the right wall body 24b is suspended which is attached to a left wall body 22c through a hinge 28 so as to be rotatably supported to the hood receiving frame 22. The cover plate 24a and the right wall body 24b are respectively provided therein with cooling water circulating passages forming a part of a cooling water circulating path.
