To automatically correct an inclination of a roll according to a change of pressing force on the roll surface by supporting both ends of the roll by means of cylinders via piston rods and connecting respective cylinders together so that a pressure medium can be moved between them via a communication tube.

A roller shaft is held by means of shaft supporting parts 5, 5' arranged in both end parts of a roll, and the shaft supporting parts 5, 5' are connected to cylinders 3, 3' via piston rods 4, 4'. In the cylinders 3, 3', the cylinder insides are communicated with each other via a communication tube 7, so that a pressure medium 8 can be moved between them. When a pressing pressure F1 exceeds a pressing pressure F2 because of a parallelism defect in a conveying line or torsion of a web due to a wind pressure, the piston rod 4 in the cylinder 3 is pushed down, so that a bearing pressure P1 is increased. The changed pressure is transmitted via the pressure medium 8 to the communication tube 7 and the cylinder 3', and the piston rod 4' is pushed up until the bearing pressure P1 equalized to a bearing pressure P2, and then, the roll is tilted, so that the pressing pressures F1, F2 based on the continuous web are equalized to each other.
