Title:
INCLINED ENGINE WITH MECHANICAL GOVERNOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004278486
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an inclined engine having a mechanical governor that overcomes the problem wherein oil is easy to flow out of the top end of a boss.

The inclined engine has a mechanical governor where an axis bottom 11 of a governor lever axis 5 projects from a boss bottom end 10 into a crankcase 2, and a bottom snap ring 12 is attached to the axis bottom 11 to face the boss bottom end 10 from below. The bottom snap ring 12 is saucer-shaped with a top opening. An oil drop space 13 is placed between the peripheral wall of the bottom snap ring 12 and the peripheral surface of the axis bottom 11. An oil exhaust port 14 is formed in the peripheral wall of the bottom snap ring 12. The oil drop space 13 faces from below between a gap 23 above the bottom snap ring and a gap 15 in the boss. The oil entering the oil drop space 13 through the gap 23 above the bottom snap ring drops herein and is discharged from the oil exhaust port 14. This prevents the oil from being sucked up toward the gap 15 in the boss; thus, the oil is unlikely to flow out of the boss top end 6.
