Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the yield of a desired polypeptide in a cell level from a culture of a recombinant cell, by promoting the secretion of a heterologous polypeptide from a recombinant cell in fermentation of a batch tank.
CONSTITUTION: (A) An eucaryotic parent host cell is transfected with a nucleic acid encoding a desired polypeptide and an oncogene and (B) a transfectant of the process (A) for producing the desired polypeptide per medium volume in a larger amount than the parent host cell is identified. Preferably the host cell is transfected with a nucleic acid encoding the desired polypeptide before the parent host cell is transfected with the oncogene.
