Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the pressure of a motor part, i.e., the pressure of circulating handling liquid to a value higher than the suction pressure of a main process (the suction pressure of a main impeller) when the motor part is cooled and a bearing is lubricated by means of an independent circulation system for handling liquid caused to flow with the aid of an auxiliary impeller.
CONSTITUTION: Handling liquid circulated from a front rotor chamber 34 is caused to flow in an inflow part 62, separated from the suction inlet part 52 of an auxiliary impeller 38 to the outside in a radial direction by a distance L, through a passage. This constitution causes the increase of the pressure of the inflow part 62 (the pressure of a front rotor chamber 34) to a value higher than the pressure of the suction inlet part 52 (the pressure of a main process) by a pressure equivalent to the distance L. Thus, even regarding a pump handling liquid the temperature of which is increased and which is easy to gasify, circulation liquid thereof is prevented from being gasified and cooling of the motor part and lubrication of a bearing are smoothly achieved.
