Title:
INDICATION WITH JAPANESE SYLLABARY ON EDGE OF DICTIONARY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007152923
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To make it easy to use a dictionary by providing the edge of the dictionary with the Japanese syllabary.

About 50 character indexes showing the Japanese syllabary instead of the conventional 10 indexes (10 consonant groups) are indicated on the edge of the dictionary. The character indexes individually show the groups of pages where the characters are present. Because the index of "Su" character is clearly indicated in the edge, the group of "Su" pages can be discriminated at once by pressing the index on the edge. The distance between the character indexes is increased as much as possible to increase allowance for appendix by displacing the character indexes.
