To provide an indirect heating type drying device for uniformized high filling rate for an object in a casing even if a drying processing advances in such a manner that a volume of the object is reduced.
In an indirect heating type drying device, a heating medium is circulated in a rotating shaft 4 and agitation blades 20, and an object in a casing is indirectly heated for drying processing. The agitating blades 20 are formed in a wedge shape having a first blade surface 20a facing a front side S1 of the casing, gradually tilted toward a front side S1 of the casing as advances from a tip end 20c of the rotating shaft 4 on the front side in rotational direction M to a rear end 20d on a rear side in the rotational direction M, and a second blade surface 20b which faces a rear side S3 of the casing and is orthogonal to an axial line O1 of the rotating shaft 4.
