Abstract:
To provide an indirect injection diesel engine in which fuel jetted from an injector is preferably mixed with air inside a subsidiary combustion chamber.SOLUTION: In an indirect injection diesel engine, a corner space part 32 where a forced swirl is formed by an air flow that has passed through a communication hole 22 from a main combustion chamber 14 and entered a subsidiary combustion chamber 20 in a compression stroke of a piston 12 is provided in a prescribed position between an extended line of the communication hole 22 and a wall surface of the subsidiary combustion chamber 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
