Abstract:

To provide an individual authenticating system by a fingerprint for setting a security level corresponding to a purpose.

For this purpose, this invention is provided with a fingerprint control server 1 for collectively controlling registered fingerprint data and comparing the fingerprint required for collation with the registered fingerprint data, fingerprint reading clients 3-0 to 3-N for transferring data to the fingerprint control server 1 by reading the fingerprint of a person to be authenticated and a holding means 2 for holding a collating level corresponding to the using application and a fingerprint quality with every individual in the registered fingerprint data controlled by the fingerprint control server 1, and can set the security level corresponding to the purpose.
