To provide a system which can display or output characters like characters handwritten by a person oneself with a device replacing the hand of the person.

This system is equipped with a character modulation analyzing means which reads in the characters of a handwritten document and their shapes and analyzes and recognizes variation of a specific part of the characters by a statistical method and/or in two-dimensional vector value, a specific part modulation means which is made to previously learn variation rules based upon peculiarities by writing persons, i.e., the handwriting and stroke strength by the writing persons according to analysis results and varies the handwriting and stroke strength of the specific part at random within permissible ranges, and a display output means which displays or prints the document while adding variation corresponding to the variation rule.
